Two-Chambered 2-Voice Multi Guitar
The Multiac Nylon SA, the original model, combines cutting-edge acoustic guitar design with state-of-the-art on-board electronics and synth access. Designed with a 25-1/2" scale, a 1 7/8" nut width, and a slight 16" fingerboard radius, this instrument offers an easy feel for steel string players to adapt to, making it the instrument of choice for guitarists of all genres seeking to incorporate nylon string guitar sounds in their music.
The Multiac models represent the crème de la crème of the acoustic/electric guitar world, delivering superb results whether you're recording, performing, or simply seeking an incredible plugged-in sound. These guitars feature a mix of nylon string and steel string models, distinguished by the two electronic systems used in the Multiac series: the RMC-equipped Multiacs with synth access capabilities, and the Duet models with custom dual source systems by L.R. Baggs.
This guitar blends classical guitar concepts with elements of solid body design, resulting in an incredibly comfortable Mahogany neck, a chambered Mahogany body, and a Spruce top that provide ample resonance. The chambered body also ensures virtual freedom from feedback, making the instrument easy to use even when the band gets loud.
The neck holds an ebony fretboard with 22 medium nickel frets and offset dot inlays, and the deep cutaway allows access to the higher frets. The Multiacs that use the RMC Polydrive system can be recognized by the individual transducer saddles under each string, which not only produce superb amplified sound but also provide a hexaphonic output through a 13-pin connector, granting these guitars direct access to Roland GR-Series synthesizers.
The exceptional synth tracking of the Multiac is the result of a carefully selected and balanced blend of different woods used in its design, as well as the electronics. All of the materials used are the product of extensive prototype testing to achieve the best possible combination of plugged-in guitar sound and synth tracking.
All Multiac SA models are equipped with two outputs: a 1-/4-inch phone output for use with a regular guitar cord, and a 13-pin connector that provides a hexophonic (a separate signal for each string) output for guitar synth devices.
In summary, the Multiac Nylon SA and its fellow Multiac models represent the pinnacle of acoustic/electric guitar design, offering a harmonious blend of classical guitar concepts, solid body elements, and state-of-the-art electronics that cater to a wide range of guitarists and musical styles.
